On Saturday, June 3, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office communications center received a 911 call reporting a single motor-vehicle accident into a barn in the area of Braley Road and Dickersonville Road in the Town of Porter. Before deputies arrived on scene, the single male occupant was able to extricate himself from the vehicle and walk out of the semi-demolished barn.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, a 36-year-old male, was evaluated by Ransomville Volunteer Fire Co. and eventually signed off on medical care. He was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody.

This individual was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), aggravated DWI .18% B.A.C. or higher, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations. He was remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility, where he was to await centralized arraignment.

The owner of the barn was contacted and responded to the scene to assess the damage.
