Members of the Lewiston Garden Club have been busy preparing for planting day, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.

To be able to plant, clean-up work has been done while observing proper social-distancing at the Lewison Museum, the Lewiston Library/Seneca Park, and other locations in the village. Members will purchase and plant flowers for these sites and Hennepin Park.

The Garden Club is a not-for-profit organization with no paid employees. Two of its major spring fundraisers (perennial sale and GardenFest) have been canceled due to COVID-19. That has not deterred member efforts to contribute to the beautification of the village.

Pictured above, at Seneca Park, are the masked gardeners who attacked the weeds under the Spider Sculpture: Barbara Carter, Judy Talarico, Barbara Landree and Tasia Fitzpatrick. Cleaning up at the library are Cathy Bennion, Sharon Low and Kathleen Harold.
