The Lewiston-Porter School District Board of Education on Monday announced the appointment of Bradley Rowles as the new principal of Lewiston-Porter High School.

“I’m (currently) the assistant principal at North Tonawanda High School,” Rowles said in his remarks to the school board members. “I have been here about three-and-a-half years, and before that I was an assistant principal at Hutch Tech in the City of Buffalo for about three years.”

Rowles brings more than a decade of educational experience to Lewiston-Porter, having served as a social studies teacher, special education teacher, team leader, an athletics coach and an assistant principal in prior stints at North Tonawanda High School and Hutchinson Central Technical School.

Prior to that time, Rowles was a special education teacher at Gateway Lawnview in Buffalo, and an administrator with Orleans-Niagara BOCES.

A Sweet Home High School graduate, Rowles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary social studies education from Buffalo State College. He earned a Master of Science degree in students with disabilities for grades 7-12 and a Master of Science in educational administration, both from Canisius College.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brad to our Lew-Port family,” said Paul Casseri, Lewiston-Porter superintendent of schools. “After an extensive search for the best candidate, we feel that his experience and commitment to education is the perfect fit to help us inspire our students and staff to keep aiming higher, ensuring that each student achieves academic, social and emotional growth.

Rowles is expected to assume his new post at Lewiston-Porter on Feb. 3.
