This Friday night, Ransomville Speedway will salute the fans in the stands on Fan Appreciation Night presented by Firth Jewelers and Relco Systems.

Fans are encouraged to come out in full support of their favorite drivers by wearing shirts, hats and jackets, making signs, decorating the grandstands or anything else they can come up with to show why their driver is top to them. Ransomville Speedway staff will recognize those who show team spirit for the drivers they cheer for every week.

Spectators will not only get to show their spirit on Friday, but they will also get a chance to show how fast they can run during the on-track foot races during intermission. There will be foot races for both kids and adults with prizes for the fastest and most fleet of foot.

It will be a full night of racing for those on foot and those on four wheels with the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Investors Service Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster’s Collision Mini Stocks and Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman all in action.

It’s starting to get down to crunch time with only three points races left for the Modified and Sportsman.

Chad Brachmann will look to remain hot in the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds as he has won the last two features in the division. Brachmann’s winning ways just happens to coincide with the opening of the Sunflowers of Sanborn attraction that he and his family operates on Saunders Settlement Road. He has also worked himself into contention for the Modified track championship. Brachmann is just 44 points behind Erick Rudolph for the lead. Between Rudolph and Brachmann in the standings is second-place Mat Williamson, who trails Rudolph by 23 markers.

Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. with grandstands opening at 6 p.m. Racing starts at 7:15 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and students (ages 13-17 with valid school ID), $8 for children ages 9-12, and free for kids ages 8 and under. Pit admission is $27 for member or $32 for non-member.

Opened in 1958, Ransomville Speedway is located on Braley Road in the hamlet of Ransomville. “The Big R” is a 3/8-mile DIRTcar sanctioned facility that is the home of the Summer Nationals. Ransomville also features a 1/16-mile Go-Kart track for action on the “Little R” on Thursday nights. For more information, visit  www.ransomvillespeedway.com.
