Ransomville to light up night sky with 'Fireworks Night' this Friday

Ransomville Speedway will get racers and fans from both sides of the border ready for a busy holiday week this Friday, June 28, with “Fireworks Night at the ‘Big R’ ” presented by uBreakiFix of Western New York, Hy-Tech Concrete, Moley Magnetics, Hebeler Sales & Service and Scott Joy Trucking.

“Fireworks Night” will get attendees in the spirit for the upcoming Canada Day and Independence Day holidays. Track officials are sparing no expense for this very special night of racing and family entertainment.

“We are excited to bring our fans the biggest holiday fireworks display in recent history as we have added to our show this year,” said Jenn Martin, Ransomville Speedway general manager, “it will definitely be a ‘Wow’ show!”

The fireworks extravaganza is a just part of the fun on June 28, as all five weekly divisions will be in competition that night – including the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Investors Service Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster’s Collision Mini Stocks and Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman.

Pit gates will open at 5 p.m., with grandstands opening at 6 p.m. Racing starts at 7:15 p.m. Grandstand admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students (ages 13-17 with valid school ID) and $8 for children ages 9-12. Children under the age of 8 are admitted free. Pit admission is $27 for a member or $32 for a non-member.

Opened in 1958, Ransomville Speedway is located on Braley Road in the hamlet of Ransomville. “The Big R” is a 3/8-mile DIRTcar sanctioned facility that is the home of the Summer Nationals. Ransomville also features a 1/16-mile Go-Kart track for action on the “Little R” on Thursday nights.
