LCTV recognizes top students

Lockport Community Television, along with the Lockport Community Cable Commission and Spectrum Cable, announced this year’s scholarship recipients. This year, $14,800 in scholarships was given to 14 recipients.

Winners of this year’s Gaskill/Roeseler Community Service Award to outstanding students who volunteered their time to the community went to Andrew Putnam, Ethan Menges, Hannah Sobieraski, Riley Auten, Mara Spero, Zach Schneider, Mikaela Ventura, Kathleen Matthies and Luke DiFato from Lockport High School, and Madison Edwards from Newfane High School.

For students entering the communications field, there were four recipients of the Thomas Riley Memorial Scholarship: Veronica Orton, Loren Wulf, Victoria Zarate, and Bethnany Sielski, all from Lockport High School.

Applications for 2020 will be available this fall at LCTV, online at www.lctv.net, by calling 716-434-1733, or via each student’s high school guidance department. Questions may be directed to LCTV’s scholarship coordinator Greg Larson.
