Last Saturday, the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, USA, held its annual wellness event, “Fashionably Fit.”

The event, which was free, open to the public and in its third year, included a 1-mile indoor walk around Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls. Registration began at Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th at 9:30 a.m. and festivities kicked off at 10 a.m. The first 100 walk participants received a free swag bag, filled with exclusive offers, coupons and gifts. Immediately following the walk, a number of vendors set up for a wellness fair.

“Fashionably Fit,” which benefitted the American Heart Association, was intended to bring awareness to heart disease by encouraging participants to get out and move and educating attendees on overall wellness.

“Mall walking is a fun and different way to exercise during the winter season. We’re pleased to provide the space that encourages participants to not only get in some extra steps, but also learn more about overall wellness through our many vendors, and support the American Heart Association,” said John Doran, senior manager of Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, in a prior release.

Participating vendors included: American Heart Association, United Health Care, BlueCross BlueShield, Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Puma, Skechers, Reebok, DavidsTea, Vitamin World, Orleans Niagara County BOCES, Girl Scouts of WNY, Boy Scouts of WNY, the Town of Niagara Recreation Department and Niagara University’s Monte the Eagle.
