Saturday night, the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons hockey team celebrated senior night prior to the team's tilt versus Frontier.
Seniors honored included Dylan Woods, Peyton Siegmann, Riley Mackenzie, Peter Lysiak, Caleb Lee, Cam King, Timothy Jones, Joel Hocking, Jake Halleen, Austin Durandetto, Chris Cacciatore and Kevin Bainbridge.
After the celebration, the Falcons defeated Frontier, 6-2, behind big nights from Cacciatore and Lee.
Cacciatore netted a hat trick and three assists; good for a 6 point night, while Lee tossed in two goals and three assists for 5 points.
Ben Foster scored the other goal for the Falcons.
Additionally, King had two assists, while Jones, Anthony Delisanti and Luke Gibson chipped in helpers.
In goal, Siegmann made 23 saves on the night.
The win was rather big for the team, as it had lost its last six contests and was coming off a winless month of January.
The Falcons (9-9) face St. Mary's in a rescheduled game at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6.
