On Friday, Sept. 28, team members from Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar of Niagara Falls took part in National Good Neighbor Day by volunteering at the Rose Café. As part of the Magdalene Project, whose mission is to aide those troubled and abused in the Greater Niagara Falls area, Applebee's staff helped cook and serve food for those in need.
Throughout the month of September, Applebee's employees throughout the Buffalo area participated in various supply drives and volunteer opportunities to help make a positive impact in the communities that they serve and to honor the holiday.
Established in 1978, "National Good Neighbor Day" recognizes the importance of good neighbors and serves as a day of gratitude and community building. T.L Cannon, who owns and operates the Applebee's of Niagara Falls, considers its commitment to the community and neighborhoods a foundation of its business - offering a variety of fundraising and incentive programs for schools, youth sports teams, firefighters and other nonprofit organizations. This includes company-wide fundraisers for both the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics of New York State.
