Last Saturday, families and children alike gathered at Veterans Memorial Community Park in the Town of Niagara for the 21st annual "Kidz 'N' Kites" celebration.
Attendees couldn't ask for a better day of weather - prime conditions to fly a kite.
The first 1,000 children to register received a free kite, T-shirt, lunch and tickets for the prize drawing, which included various items donated by sponsors. Also, the children flew kites from noon to 2 p.m.
In addition to the fun, there were clowns, face painting, balloon creations, various animal rescue groups, a child car seat safety check and music by DJ the Dee Jay. Bikers Against Child Abuse was once again in attendance to show support for area families.
The day of kites received a good turnout of families and provided a couple hours of outside fun for all.
