NT Library events

The following is a list of events from the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda.
• Preschoolers ages 3-5 can join the library for Get Soaked at the library and the library's annual Tea Party from 10:30-11:30 a.m.on Thursday, Aug. 9.
Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet. Shoes or flip-flops must be worn in the library. Attendees will be going outside for part of this program. Parents may join at 11:15 a.m. for the Tea Party. Visit the library's website, www.ntlibrary.org, for more information. 
• Join the library for an evening of toe-tapping fun at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. Make a date to hear the Kesterson Bluegrass Duo work their magic on mandolin, fiddle, guitar and banjo, as they perform some bluegrass favorites. The event is free and open to the public. 
• To close out the summer, come to the library for the NT Library Rocks Extravaganza, including a talent show, prince and princess visit, and hot dog picnic from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13. Come and see the talent of fellow NT Library friends from 5-5:30 p.m., followed by entertainment from one of the library's favorite princesses, and her prince. The library will then enjoy it annual hot dog picnic and ice cream social under the stars from 6:30-8 p.m. 
For more information, contact the library at 693-4132, ext. 5. The hot dogs are generously donated by the NT Kiwanis Club. The prince and princess will entertain on behalf of Enchanted Parties. All programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
