Lewiston-Porter High School has announced the graduation of its sixth cohort of students from the Academy of International Business & Finance.
The graduates this year are: Catherine Bautista, Michael Bobick, Emily Breniser, Ashley Broderick, Vincent Chiaravalle, Brooke Crossley, Gabriella (Gigi) Ortiz, Alex Taylor and Gabrielle Whitehead.
"We are all incredibly proud of our academy graduates," said Nicole Alonzo, business teacher and director of the program. "They have worked so hard and accomplished so much. It's been a privilege to work with such talented, professional and high-achieving students, and I am sure there will be many more successful ventures in their future."
An academy is a school-within-a-school approach to education with a focus on a single academic discipline. The program is designed for students who seek to broaden their knowledge in the growing and vital area of international business. It is meant to be a challenging and rewarding program for those who are interested in a unique educational experience.
Students who successfully complete the program may receive up to 18 college credits from Lew-Port's higher-education partners, have completed a 120-hour compensated internship, and participated in an international experience that often includes travel to a foreign country.
