Daily activities, fitness, food and drink are all part of the fun planned for Buffalo's Outer Harbor
Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. and the Outer Harbor Management Group (OHMG) on Friday announced their 2017 season of summer activities for the whole family.
Visitors to the Outer Harbor can bike, boat or walk along the waterfront while taking in one Buffalo's most scenic locations. The Outer Harbor caters to anyone who wants to work out, play, relax or dine with a unique lake view.
"The Outer Harbor is growing in popularity, because it offers the perfect combination of things to do and places to get away from it all," ECHDC Chairman Robert Gioia said. "Fireworks to light the sky, exercise to make your heart race, activities for all the age groups and food for every appetite - it's all on the menu this summer at the Outer Harbor."
"Our mission is to provide family-friendly events, entertainment and food and beverage options to all those who explore the Outer Harbor throughout the summer months," said Jon Dandes, president of OHMG and Be Our Guest Ltd. "Our team has put together a variety of fun and unique events and daily programming that will keep visitors coming back to the Outer Harbor."
This summer offers something to do every day of the summer including these favorite activities:
- Kayaking and paddle boarding with Longboards Paddle Co.
- Biking on the Surrey Bike and trike bikes for kids
- New fitness classes from the YMCA thanks to Independent Health
- Giant checkers and spike ball are just some of the fun new games to play in our Consumer's Beverages Beer Garden
