The American Business Women's Association, Western New York Charter Chapter, has announced its networking and professional development event, "Shine: Empower, Connect, Achieve," will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens Restaurant in Depew.

"Shine: Empower, Connect, Achieve" will feature a professional development segment featuring attorney and entrepreneur Lisa Coppola as the keynote speaker, a networking happy hour, vendor fair, basket and silent auctions.

Vendor tables are still available on a first-come, first-served basis. Donations for the basket raffle are being accepted up until the event by emailing [email protected].

"ABWA WNY is always striving to empower women through education; introducing them to established, successful mentors by means of our professional development seminars," said Jennifer Surdyke, ABWA WNY president and account manager at Benefit Brokers of Western New York. "Our goal for the event is to allow women to network and connect with one another and build relationships. We are excited to host our vendor fair again this year, recognizing many incredible local businesses."

This event allows ABWA WNY to support its local scholarship and ongoing voluntarism efforts in the Western New York community.

Tickets for "Shine: Empower, Connect, Achieve" are $35 through April 22 and $40 at the door the day of the event. Click here for more information or to register.

ABWA Western New York's mission is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
