Don't be late for this very important date! Lewiston Council on the Arts presents "Alice in Wonderland" Sunday, June 1, at Seneca (Bug) Park, next to the Lewiston Public Library, 305 S. Eighth St.

Afternoon activities begin at 12:30 p.m. and include hat-making, games, stories, face-painting, lots of bubbles and, of course, a Mad Hatter's tea party.

The audience will meet real live characters from Lewis Carroll's beloved stories, including the Queen of Hearts, the Duchess, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, the Mad Hatter and many more.

The highlight of the afternoon will be the 2 p.m. performance by MOTUS O Dance Theatre from Toronto. "Alice" is an exhilarating adventure that spins viewers off into another land. This innovative and high-energy troupe will enthrall audiences of all ages with its imaginative and fresh interpretation of "Alice" in her topsy-turvy world.

Special treats will include cookies donated by Lewiston's finest bakers at DiCamillo Bakery, Mangia Cafe and the Village Bake Shoppe. Kelly's Country Store will provide chocolates.

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce, 895 Center St.; DiCamillo Bakery, 535 Center St.; and Lewiston Council on the Arts, 475 Ridge St. For more information, call 716-754-0166. There are a limited number of presale tickets available.

Children are encouraged to dress up.

In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Lewiston Opera Hall, 732 Center St.
