"Aliens Invade Darien Lake," an alien-themed festival is set to take place on Saturday, July 28. All proceeds from the festival will benefit CURE Childhood Cancer Association, which is a nationally recognized innovator in peer-to-peer support for families with children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders.

This family-friendly festival features alien-themed events such as an alien costume contest, which all guests are invited to participate in; an "Alien Chase" 1.5 walk/run; appearances by charity "Star Wars" costumers, including Jedi Knights. In addition, sci-fi author J.W. Ocker will share the "Odd Things I've Seen" with guests in the park on July 28. All are welcome to participate in the festivities to help support CURE.

In addition to "Aliens Invade Darien Lake," guests can enjoy a variety of shows. Herschend Family Entertainment captures the essence of what Darien Lake represents in the Western New York area and is dedicated to giving their guests the most valuable experience while supporting local foundations.

CURE Childhood Cancer Association was founded in 1976 by a group of Rochester parents who had lost their children to cancer. CURE has evolved over the past 35 years, but its commitment to families and children who are facing the effects of childhood cancer has only grown stronger and Darien Lake is dedicated to supporting the future of CURE.
