The Friends of the Lewiston Public Library group is hosting the "Passport to Lewiston" raffle in which the public has the potential to win several prizes. More than $1,100 in gifts and certificates will be raffled off at GardenFest this weekend.

"The public has been very generous in supporting us. The businesses have also been very generous," says Teresa Peek, a member of the Friends.

Many prizes have been donated from local businesses, as well as tickets for a cruise on the sailing tall ship the Black Pearl. Other prizes also include certificates to local attractions, restaurants and entertainment.

Tickets are available at the GardenFest as well as the library's circulation desk. They are $10 per ticket or three for $25. All proceeds benefit the Friends and the library. The winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, June 24, at GardenFest on Center Street in Lewiston. The winner need not be present.
