It's Father's Day on Sunday. Celebrate! Don't mow the lawn, instead rev that motor over to West River Parkway, between Long Road and Sunset Drive, for the Grand Island Lawn Mower Races and Classic Car Show. Registration ($10) is between 9 and 11 a.m. Race time is noon to 3:30 p.m. Pizza, hot dogs, ice cream and pop will be available as well as face painting and activities for the kids. Music will be provided by the U.S.A. Band and disc jockey Jim Slaiman of Premier Sound. Proceeds will benefit the Grand Island Relay for Life.
