Features musical collaborations with newly formed Music Culture 716

This Memorial Day Weekend, Old Falls Street, USA, is teaming up with the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York to present the inaugural "WNY Sound Smash," a unique collaborative concert with members of the newly formed Music Culture 716, on Saturday, May 26. Musicians include those from The Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus, the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, The Colored Musicians Club, Music Is Art, and the Western New York Blues Society. This free, day-long concert will be presented on Old Falls Street's middle block, from 1 to 7 p.m.

"Arts Services Initiative of Western New York is proud to be able to bring together seven of the region's top music-based cultural organizations for their first-ever public performance on Old Falls Street, USA," said Tod A. Kniazuk, ASI executive director. "Not only will you hear these groups individually, but you'll also get the chance to see one-time only collaborations arranged especially for this event."

Paired with this day-long concert event will be wine and beer tastings from The Results Group. Members of the Niagara Frontier Plein Air Painters will also be on hand to paint the downtown Niagara Falls landscape.

"We are honored this professional group of musicians chose Old Falls Street, USA, for its debut performance," said Global Spectrum's Ryan Coate, general manager of Old Falls Street, USA, and the Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls. "Old Falls Street is the perfect venue to showcase the best of Western New York to the thousands visiting downtown Niagara Falls during the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend."
