The Niagara County Patriots April meeting has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the Wheatfield Community Center.

Stephen Lacki, a Marine who fought in the Korean War, will speak about "an obscure battle in a forgotten war," recounting the story behind the battle for Hill 749. The bravery of his fellow soldiers included his friend, a Medal of Honor winner who gave his life to save the others. Lacki has exhibits and information about the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C., and even a "humor in uniform" tale.

Also discussed will be issues including taxation, education and the legislature.

The meeting is free and open to the public. For information, call Amy Deull at 716-731-9623.

The previously announced April 23 meeting was cancelled due to the storm forecast.
