Lewiston Police Blotter for Feb. 18, 2012

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 6, to Sunday, Feb. 12, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 85 responses during this period.

Monday, Feb. 6

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center, attempt to locate. Patrol reported a 57-year-old male in question was found and returned to the hospital.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reports the arrest of a 44-year-old male for aggravated unlicensed operation. Appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court issued; vehicle turned over to a licensed driver.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

•5800 block of Elm Street, larceny. Statement taken from a 27-year-old male who reported two freezers, a washer and miscellaneous scrap was taken from a driveway. Truck involved was possibly a green Ford. Report filed.

•300 block of South Eighth Street, Lewiston Public Library, separate alarm responses. All secure on both calls, cleaner on location. Report filed.

•Niagara University campus, reckless driver complaint. Patrol spoke with a male and located a 19-year-old female who was involved on the 500 block of 68th Street in Niagara Falls. Female taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response per the Niagara Falls Police Department.

•Kiwanis Park, recovered property. Patrol reports finding a hydrocodone pill in the park while talking with a local resident. Property secured.

•5200 block of Chew Road, check 911 call. Patrol reported a 25-year-old male as highly intoxicated; subject dealt with by family members. No other problems.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

•700 block of Onondaga Street, assist. LPD on location with a Niagara County Sheriff's officer for a warrant attempt. Party no longer resides at that location.

•5100 block of Walmore Road, unwanted party. Patrol spoke with a 52-year-old male regarding a 53-year-old female. Report filed.

•5300 block of Military Road, hit-run accident. Plate numbers of both vehicles logged and MV form issued. No other information.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, found property. Patrol reported drugs found and destroyed same.

•3100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, missing person. LPD assisted State Police, NCSO and State Parks on a search for a 19-year-old autistic male. Subject later found.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, larceny. Unidentified complainant reported an I-phone, an iPod and $35 in cash taken. No further details. Report filed.

•5100 block of Bronson Drive, officer requested. Call referred to NFPD as incident occurred in Niagara Falls.

•4600 block of Creek Road, domestic. Patrol spoke with a 45-year-old female and a 21-year-old female. No further details.

•NU campus, Clet Hall, mental health response. Patrol reported a male having emotional problems and threatened suicide. Subject taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for an evaluation.

•2200 block of Mount Hope Road, hit-run accident/fatality, pedestrian. Patrol reported a 59-year-old male was struck by an unknown vehicle. Subject taken via MercyFlight to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo where he later died from injuries sustained. Report filed.

Thursday, Feb. 9

•Garlow and Stoltz roads, check situation. Caller reported a loud party and subjects screaming out by the roadway. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

•800 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road, assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a burglary in progress. All found secure; patrol cleared.

•Garlow and Wayside roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the arrest of a 20-year-old female for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest. Bail of $500 assigned and suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail. On the same pullover, passengers of the vehicle were issued uniform traffic tickets for having open containers of alcohol. Report filed.

•Locations on the 5500 block of Walmore Road and the 2200 block of Ridge Road, separate AED responses. Both calls addressed.

•Locations on the 700 block of The Circle Drive and the 4300 block of Autumn Lane, alarm responses. Both locations secure. Key holder on site on first response.

•5100 block of Walmore Road, burglary. No further information; report filed.

•4200 block of Dickersonville Road, check welfare (two responses). No problems reported on either call.

Friday, Feb. 10

•Mount Hope Road, reckless driver. Caller reported a black SUV was involved. Patrol checked with negative results.

•1900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, one vehicle rollover. NCSO on location and handled report. LPD cleared.

•400 block of Guard Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers. No injuries or tow. MV form issued. Report filed.

•900 block of Mohawk Street, harassment. Statement taken from a 51-year-old female regarding a male listed as a person involved. Male advised not to have contact with the complainant.

•5100 block of Bronson Drive, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the arrest of a 43-year-old male for aggravated unlicensed operation. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•4200 block of Calkins Road, attempted burglary. Statement taken from a 37-year-old female who reported that unknown person(s) failed to gain access to the home. Report filed.

•Raymond Drive, reckless driver complaint. Statement taken from a female listed as a school bus driver regarding an incident that occurred Feb. 9. Plate number of vehicle taken. Investigation to continue.

•900 block of Center Street, road rage complaint in a supermarket parking lot. Patrol spoke with a female; issue resolved.

•LPD office, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 44-year-old female; suspect unknown. Investigation to continue.

•City of Niagara Falls locations, assist. LPD on location with New York State Parole and NFPD at addresses on the 1200 block of 15th Street, the 4800 block of University Court, the 2200 block of Michigan Avenue, 1900 block of Ferry Avenue and 5900 block of Hyde Park Boulevard on execution of search warrants. No further details.

•2200 block of Schoolhouse Road, trespasser complaint. Male party reportedly had permission to be on location.

Saturday, Feb. 11

•NU campus, O'Shea Hall, burglary. Statement taken from a 20-year-old male who reported an Xbox, video game and wire taken from a dorm room. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road and Hewitt Drive, vehicle check, DWI, refusal. Patrol reported the arrest of a 35-year-old male for driving while intoxicated and refusal of a breath test. Bail of $500 assigned and suspect remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road and Hewitt Drive, disorderly conduct. Patrol reported the arrest of a 22-year-old female from the above pullover/arrest. Subject became obscene towards patrol during the vehicle check. Bail of $100/$200 assigned and suspect remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Center and Ninth streets, vehicle check/DWI. Patrol reported the arrest of a 25-year-old male for driving while intoxicated. Blood alcohol content testing performed. BAC result, .15 of 1 percent of alcohol. Driver released on appearance tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•5200 block of Chew Road, harassment. Patrol reported the call as unfounded. Complainant left the scene and all parties were uncooperative.

•Locations on Indian Hill Road (four to five vehicles involved), Saunders Settlement Road, Robert Moses Parkway, northbound and southbound lanes, and Lewiston Road, reports of vehicles in ditches. All calls weather related and vehicles removed.

•Locations on 3900 block of Creek Road, Lewiston Road and on Upper Mountain and Indian Hill roads, separate reports on one-vehicle accidents. Statement taken from the drivers; no injuries and vehicles towed on two calls. MV forms issued, reports filed.

•700 block of Ridge Road, criminal mischief complaint. Statement taken from a male who reported an unknown person or vehicle damaged a mailbox. Report filed.

•800 block of Pletcher Road, aggravated harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 39-year-old male regarding a 30-year-old male listed as a person involved. Subject advised to cease contact with complainant or charges will be filed.

•900 block of Center Street, larceny at a supermarket. Purse recovered by an elderly female.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, check welfare. Caller reported exterior lights on a home flashing in a pattern. Call unfounded.

Sunday, Feb. 12

•Locations on Lewiston Road and on Saunders Settlement Road, disabled vehicles. Both calls addressed.

•4900 block of Black Nose Spring Road, unwanted person. Call handled by State Police.

•290 block of Upper Mountain Road, check welfare. Intoxicated male on location.
