Mount St. Mary's Hospital will present a series of programs in January 2012 as part of its "Health For All Seasons" health education program and event series.
Starting on Monday, Jan. 9, and continuing on Jan. 16 and 23, "Health For All Seasons" and the hospital's fully-accredited cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program present "Fall Out of Addictions: Stop Smoking," a series of three classes offered from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 723A of the hospital. Elyse Updegraph, exercise specialist, will conduct the class. Register by calling 298-2145 or 298-3030.
On Thursday, Jan. 19, Debra Hoffman, certified diabetes educator, will present "Taking Charge of Your Diabetes." This is an all-day program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held in Room 249 of the main hospital building. To register, call 298-2297.
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, "The New You for 2012" will be presented as part of the Lewiston-Porter School District's Community Education Program. The session will be led by Hoffman, and will cover healthy eating and how being active is important for one's health. It will be held in the Lewiston-Porter Primary Education Center AR Room at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required; call 298-2145.
