The Weinberg Campus Garden Club Day Program provides a service to the community for those with memory impairment and their families. Its safe and secure day program includes engaging activities for the memory impaired, nutritious and enjoyable meals and snacks, and an elopement monitoring system to ensure safety.

The program staff has an excellent understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia as well as deep compassion and understanding for the patient.

"It is such a well organized, socially interactive environment," said Margaret Minderman, daughter of a current participant. "My dad looks forward to lunch with his friends and spends a good part of the day engaged in great conversations."

The garden club is located on the Weinberg Campus in Amherst.  The program operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is based on hourly increments. For more information or to schedule a tour, contact the Garden Club at 639-3311, ext. 2250, or visit www.weinbergcamus.org.
