The New York State Disaster Assistance Handbook, which provides an overview of disaster assistance resources for individuals, families, and small businesses in New York, has been updated.
The handbook is designed to set out some of the issues storm survivors may need to consider and to point them in the right direction for help. Much of the information in the book is general - survivors may need to contact county, state or federal resources or local aid organizations to obtain more specific information about issues in a particular area.
There is no cost for using or copying these resources. Link to the handbook at http://go.usa.gov/0Sn or at www.dhses.ny.gov/oem/documents/NYS-Disaster-Assistance-Handbook.pdf.
