Erie County Sheriff's Office Report for Nov. 18, 2011

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its officers responded to 198 calls from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11. Below is a sampling of only those incidents the ECSO reported to the Island Dispatch.

Saturday, Nov. 5

•Bush Road, suspicious incident - A complainant stated that sometime during the night her mailbox was struck by a vehicle.

Sunday, Nov. 6

•Grand Island Boulevard, suspicious incident - A complainant at the VFW Post stated that sometime in recent days an unknown person attempted to start a hay bale on fire on the premise.

Monday, Nov. 7

•Grand Island Boulevard, burglary - Erie County sheriff's deputies and detectives responded to a report of a burglary at an amusement park. Their investigation led to the arrest of three juvenile offenders on charges of burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree. The juvenile offenders were arraigned in Town of Grand Island Court.

•Grand Island Boulevard, larceny - Deputies responded to a report of a larceny at a laundromat. Deputies' investigation led to the arrest of a 45-year-old woman and a 25-year-old women, both of Grand Island. Both subjects were arraigned in Town of Grand Island Court.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

•Grand Island Boulevard, drunk driving - Following a traffic stop, deputies arrested a 50-year-old man from Grand Island for driving while intoxicated. The man refused to submit to a chemical analysis of his breath. He was issued traffic tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

•Grand Island Boulevard, larceny - An employee of a supermarket stated that two subjects stole various goods from the store. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Thursday, Nov. 10

•East River Road, larceny - A complainant stated that an unknown person stole a tractor from his front yard.
