Gretchen L. Wylegala, assistant U.S. attorney, will talk about her experience prosecuting and preventing investment fraud during a one-hour session Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Niagara University. The free, public event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Room 351 of Bisgrove Hall.

Wylegala has been the lead prosecutor in several local, high profile investment fraud cases, including a $17 million Ponzi scheme involving Richard Piccoli's investment business, Gen-See Capital Corporation, and a $6 million case prosecuting Guy W. Gane's service firms M-One Financial and Watermark Financial Services Group.

Wylegala will discuss how those cases were discovered, prosecuted and what investors can do to make sure they don't fall victim to similar schemes.

Niagara University's College of Business Administration and Finance Club sponsor the event.
