Lewiston Police Blotter for Oct. 15, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Oct. 3, to Sunday, Oct. 10, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD reported a total of 88 calls during this period.

Monday, Oct. 3

•Addresses on the 4400 block of Lower River Road, the 600 block of Pletcher Road, and the 500 block of Fairway Drive, separate alarm responses. All locations secure; reports filed.

•1300 block of Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle hit-run accident. Statement taken from the on-scene driver. One vehicle involved an Ontario driver who fled and patrol notified U.S. Customs to flag the vehicle when it attempted to cross the border. MV forms issued; report filed.

•Niagara University campus, criminal mischief complaint. Incident occurred in the O'Shea lot. Plate number logged; report filed.

•4500 block of Washington Drive, neighbor problem. State Police handled.

•900 block of Orchard Drive, violation of a court of order. Patrol spoke with a 39-year-old female regarding a 45-year-old male. Investigation to continue; report filed.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

•5800 block of Ward Road, EMS response. An unidentified subject's leg went through the floor of a deck. Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. EMS on location.

•Townline Road, reckless driver. Caller reported a silver Subaru Impreza traveling west on Ridge Road from Townline Road. Negative results on patrol's search.

•500 block of Ward Road, trespass complaint. Statement taken from a 76-year-old male. Patrol reported the arrest of a 32-year-old male. Report filed.

•2600 block of Ridge Road, suspicious vehicle. Female complainant reported a male in a blue Jeep outside taking a picture of the residence. Patrol unable to locate.

•400 block of Kenwood Drive, domestic. Patrol listed a 48-year-old female as a victim and an 32-year-old female as a suspect. Suspect left prior to patrol's arrival. Complainant did not wish to file charges but sought an order of protection. Domestic incident report and patrol's report both filed.

•Creek and Swann roads, reckless driver. Patrol checked with negative results.

•5800 block of Griffin Street, animal problem. A dog running loose in the neighborhood was secured by its owner.

•200 block of South First Street, attempt to locate. Unoccupied vehicle listed to a male found at Devil's Hole. Subject found in park and reported home later.

•Creek and Balmer roads, assist. Patrol on location with State Police for a driving while intoxicated arrest.

•900 block of Center Street, alarm response. Patrol reported a customer service hold-up alarm activated at a supermarket. All secure.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

•Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, larceny. Patrol reported the arrests of two black males, both age 16, on the theft of a camera, which was later returned. Appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court issued to both. Report filed.

•Bond Lake, stolen vehicle. A 60-year-old female was listed as a victim/complainant. Vehicle involved listed as a blue Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup. Investigation to continue.

Lewiston Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Report filed

•400 block of Dutton Drive, domestic. Patrol listed a 48-year-old female as a complaint and a 44-yerar-old male as a suspect. Domestic incident report filed.

Thursday, Oct. 6

•Military Road, one vehicle accident. State Police on location and handled the call.

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported finding the interior light on inside a vehicle. Homeowner notified and nothing found missing.

•Locations on Creek Road and on Lower Mountain/Black Nose Spring roads, reports of two-vehicle accidents. Statements taken from the drivers; no injuries and one vehicle towed. Reports filed.

•Swann and Watts roads, reckless driver. Caller reported vehicles were passing others in areas of double yellow lines. Patrols advised.

•5600 block of Military Road, hit-run accident. Investigation to continue.

•5400 block of Walmore Road, larceny at a convenience business. Complainant reported $33 worth of gas taken by the driver of a tan sedan. No plate number provided. Vehicle GOA.

•400 block of Dutton Drive, domestic. Patrol listed a 48-year-old female as a complaint and a 44-yerar-old male as a suspect. Suspect gone on patrol's arrival. Complainant wished to file charges of second-degree harassment. Paperwork filed by patrol.

•1700 block of Upper Mountain Road, neighbor problem. Caller reported neighbors were yelling at him. Patrol checked and found no neighbors around.

Friday, Oct. 7

•Bond Lake Park, suspicious vehicle. Patrol located a 47-year-old male and advised to leave the park. Patrol cleared.

•400 block of Center Street, vehicle check. Patrol received a complaint of the driver possibly looking at pornography outside a bar/restaurant. Patrol located and advised the subject go home for the night. Patrol cleared.

•Garlow Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol located a vehicle with Ontario plates on the side of the road. Patrol attempted to contact the owner with negative results.

•400 block of Creek Road, three-vehicle accident. Statements taken from all drivers; patrol's reports to follow.

•Lower Mountain Road, one vehicle accident. Statement taken from the driver; no injuries and vehicle towed. MV forms issued; report filed.

•5800 block of Buffalo Street, harassment complaint. Niagara County Sheriff's Office handled.

•Saunders Settlement Road, reckless driver eastbound. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

Saturday, Oct. 8

•5300 block of Walmore Road, accident with injuries. Patrol reported the passengers were transported to Erie County Medical Center. Driver left the scene prior to its arrival. Vehicle towed with hold placed.

•800 block of Center Street, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 22-year-old female regarding a female, also 22 years old, who was charged. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•3500 block of Ransomville Road, mental health call. Patrol assisted NCSO on the call; subject taken for treatment.

•2700 block of Lower Mountain Road, stolen vehicle. A 48-year-old male reported that unknown persons stole an ATV from his backyard sometime overnight. Report filed.

•Buffalo Street area, juvenile problem. Caller reported four juveniles in the area wearing dark clothing. Subjects gone on patrol's arrival.

•400 block of Riverview Drive, suspicious person. Caller reported an unknown person ringing the doorbell and hitting windows.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, juvenile problem at Niagara-Wheatfield High School. Patrol reported underage students drinking in the parking lot. NCSO contacted for a female charged with disorderly contact; parents contacted for all others.

Sunday, Oct. 9

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, juvenile problem. Female reported an ongoing problem of a 16-year-old male juvenile leaving home after curfew. Report filed.

•400 block of Dutton Drive, custody problem. Patrol listed a 48-year-old female as a complaint and a 44-yerar-old male as a suspect. Suspect pulled over at North Fifth Street and placed under arrest from an earlier harassment second-degree complaint. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $250/$500 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO. Full order of protection issued. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•100 block of Water Street North, custody problem. Statement taken from a 57-year-old male regarding a 31-year-old female listed as a person in need of intervention. Female not on location to transfer a child as per a court order. Report filed.

•2000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. A 30-year-old male was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a vehicle with the registration suspended/revoked. Uniform traffic tickets issued with return Lewiston Town Court date and driver released on his own recognizance. Report filed.

•Ridgeview Avenue, reckless driver. Caller reported a vehicle racing up and down the street. Vehicle located; patrol attempted contact with negative results.

•West side of Robert Moses Parkway-West Park Drive area, shooter complaint. Patrol reported several reports from callers of hearing 10 shots fired in two, five-round bursts in the area. Patrol checked with negative results.
