As reported on this website last week, Assemblyman John Ceretto will host a public forum on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Village of Lewiston Municipal Building, 145 N. Fourth Street. The forum, which will begin a 6 p.m., is meant to provide local input to make the concert series a continued success and open dialogue regarding Artpark's impact on Village of Lewiston residents.

"Artpark is a terrific venue, which brings tens of thousands of visitors on a weekly basis to Lewiston every year to enjoy the summer concert series," Ceretto said. "While the series has been a smashing success, we must be diligent in finding ways to improve the experience for local village residents.

"In an effort to ensure the future success of the Artpark summer concert series, I am hosting a public forum in order to receive helpful feedback from local residents on what can and should be done to make these events safer and more manageable for concert-goers and Lewiston residents."

In addition to the public forum, Ceretto is also meeting with local stakeholders, including village, town, county and state elected officials, local police and fire departments, state parks officials and Artpark management, to discuss efficiency measures for the concert series, while promoting local economic growth.

"The concert series at Artpark is one of the best music events in Western New York. By working together, I am confident that we can address these local issues to ensure the continued success of these events while reducing the concerts' impact on village residents," Ceretto said.
