The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has announced that, in order to allow construction crews to complete upgrades to Reservoir State Park in Lewiston, the park will be closed until this phase of work is complete - likely by the end of the year.

The upgrades to the park, which are being made possible through funding from the New York State Power Authority, will include major upgrades to the park, including new soccer fields; new picnic pavilions; seven new softball diamonds (including one with lights for night play); resurfaced basketball, tennis and floor hockey courts; new parking lots; restored green areas and pathways; as well as an outdoor ice skating rink with a warming station.
