St. Peter's R.C. Church and St. Peter School have announced that Dr. James P. Moore is serving as chairman of the seventh annual Golf Classic sponsored by St. Peter's. The tournament, which is open to the public, will be played Monday, Oct. 3, at the Niagara Falls Country Club.

Tickets for the tournament, which includes lunch, dinner and a silent auction, are $150 each. The dinner-only option is $50. Proceeds will benefit the church and St. Peter School.

As part of its fundraising efforts, the parish's golf committee is sponsoring a raffle for $7,000 in tuition assistance to Niagara Catholic High School. Raffle prizes of $4,000, $2,000 and $1,000 will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners, respectively. Winners do not have to be present. Tickets may be obtained from members of the golf committee or by calling the rectory at 754-4118. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Assisting Moore as members of the golf committee are Ken Kenney, Colleen Larkin, Richard Low, George McGrath, Mike Mydzian and Linus Ormsby. In the photo, Moore reviews plans for the tournament with the Rev. Michael Zuffoletto, newly appointed pastor of St. Peter's Church. For more information visit www.StPeterLewiston.net.
