Hospice and palliative care can be misunderstood areas when looking for appropriate health care. As such, Niagara Hospice will hold a community conversation to shed light on these options.

Dr. Sarina Bax De-Biaso, Niagara Hospice's assistant medical director, will answer questions for the community at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

"The time to learn about hospice and palliative care is before you or a loved one needs it. I look forward to sharing the array of services that hospice care provides," said Bax De-Biaso. "In addition, there will be an open discussion to address common concerns, like how to keep loved ones at home, pain and symptom management, and caregiver relief."

The community conversation will be held at the Niagara Hospice Resource Center in the Ulrich City Center at 175 Walnut St., Lockport, from noon to 1 p.m. The event is free. A boxed lunch will be provided. Reservations must be made by Aug. 29 by calling 280-0652.
