Brickyard hosts 'Celebrity Bartending Night' to benefit individuals with developmental disabilities

Brickyard Pub & BBQ, 432 Center St., Lewiston, hosts the 14th annual "Celebrity Bartending Night" on Wednesday (new this year), Aug. 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation.

Gary Strenkoski is chairman of the event. Event sponsors include Mr. and Mrs. C. Anthony Frieri, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Salvadore, LocalEdge, Capital Management Group, Cassetta Agency Inc., Cooper Planning Group, JM Management Services and Gross Contracting Corp.  

Serving as celebrity bartenders are Janet Snyder and Nicholas Picholas of Kiss 98.5; former Buffalo Sabre Andrew Peters; Adam Benigni and Maria Genero of WGRZ-TV Channel 2; Joe Mihalich and Ed McLaughlin of Niagara University; Jamie Border-Edler of HSBC Bank; Bob Burns of Tim Hortons; David Karwick of Key Investments; Jennifer Pauley of the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce; Annette Tomlin of First Niagara Bank; and Paula Vene of WLVL.  

Tickets will be available at the door for $10 each and include a high-end basket auction, split-club drawing, door prizes and finger foods. Lakeside Blues Duo will provide live music on the patio. There also will be a live auction of a Buffalo Sabres "Media Game Day Experience," and two Ryan Miller autographed jerseys.

The mission of the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation is to provide a long-term source of financial support that ensures people with developmental disabilities have opportunities toward independence and integration within the community.
