One of the metal building industry's leading publications has named Tedesco Construction Services Inc. of Lewiston to its list of the nation's Top 100 metal builders of 2010.

Metal Construction News, a trade publication with a circulation of more than 30,000, announced the annual list in the May edition. For the past 21 years, the magazine, which is targeted to the construction industry, has been compiling and publishing an annual list of companies that sell the most tonnage of steel and the largest square footage of construction during the previous calendar year.

Tedesco Construction Services, located at 210 S. Ninth St., sold 539 tons of steel in 2010 to rank No. 59 on the list. Some of the company's biggest projects of 2010 included The Fairgrounds Casino in Hamburg and the Hornell Area YMCA in Hornell.

"Being part of this list certainly puts us in exclusive company and we are excited about being there," said President/Owner Jeffrey M. Tedesco. "This represents a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication by everyone in our company."

Founded in 2006, Tedesco Construction Services Inc. currently has four project managers and estimator employees. It is an independent authorized Varco Pruden Builder. VP Buildings, one of the nation's leading providers of metal building systems, is a division of BlueScope Buildings North America Inc., and has a network of more than 1,000 builders in the U.S. and Canada.

"We are tremendously proud that Tedesco Construction Services Inc. is part of the VP team and congratulate them on their impressive progress and accomplishments," said Chuck Haslebacher, president of VP Buildings.
