'Access Hollywood Live' renewed for its second season in broadcast syndication

One-hour daytime entertainment news talk show adds new major market stations

"Access Hollywood Live" has been renewed for its second season in broadcast syndication with NBC owned television stations and FOX television stations in the nation's top markets and the show will now air on additional "Access Hollywood" affiliates around the country, it was announced today by Barry Wallach, president of NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.

The one-hour daily entertainment news talk show, hosted by Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, will now air on additional stations in major markets including NBC-owned WRC-TV Washington, D.C. and WTVJ-TV Miami. Other new "Access Hollywood Live" markets include KCRA-TV Sacramento, WTMJ-TV Milwaukee, WGBA-TV Green Bay, WNDU South Bend and more. These stations join returning NBC stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego and Hartford. In addition, "Access Hollywood Live" has been renewed on FOX Television Stations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Memphis.

"Access Hollywood Live," which debuted in September 2010, was recently featured in Entertainment Weekly's coveted 'Must List' as the magazine called hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover a "refreshingly hilarious duo." The daily show focuses on the latest celebrity dish, opinions, Hollywood happenings and all the day's big news. "Access Hollywood Live," which is broadcast in HD, features in-studio guests, a cast of regular contributors and female-friendly segments on the most up-to-date styles, fashion, design trends and more.

Executive Producer Rob K. Silverstein and the experienced "Access Hollywood" team produce "Access Hollywood Live" from Los Angeles.

"Rob Silverstein and the entire production team work very hard to create a fun, informative and exciting daily show that the daytime audience is responding well to," said Barry Wallach. "'Access Hollywood Live' has performed very well on local broadcast stations and we are excited to continue our 'Access' brand partnership with additional stations going in to a second season."

"Access Hollywood Live" averaged a +13 percent time period increase for the May 2011 sweep period (vs. May 2010 time periods) in Household ratings and is also growing during the 2010-11 season delivering a +13 percent increase vs. its premiere week (week of 9/13/10.) For May 2011, "Access Hollywood Live" averaged a +75 percent time period increase in its 10 LPM markets (vs. May 2010) among the key Women 25-54 demographic delivering strong year-to-year time period gains in New York (+150 percent), Chicago (+67 percent), Detroit (+180 percent), Tampa (+80 percent), and Cleveland (+13 percent).
