The Historical Association of Lewiston officially unveiled a new Lewiston sign on Thursday.

"All of the volunteers of the Historical Association of Lewiston appreciate the support that our Town of Lewiston supervisor, Steve Reiter, and the town and village boards provide," said H.A.L. President Bruce Sutherland. "Their support enables us to bring the rich history of Lewiston alive, through the Freedom Crossing Monument, Black Pearl sailing ship, 'Flames through Lewiston' and the future Tuscarora Heroes Monument, to name a few. The H.A.L. recognized a need for a new sign welcoming all to Lewiston and, with the help of a healthy donation from the Lewiston Garden Club, we were able to provide a first-class welcome to our town."
