A portion of the proceeds collected on anniversary date will go to support the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in Lewiston

Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique, located at 451 Center St., will celebrate its fifth year in business on Saturday, May 14.  The trendy, women's clothing and accessory boutique will offer specials and giveaways on that date from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event in Lewiston. This donation is in honor of the owners' dear friends, Heather Ewy who recently battled breast cancer, and Kim Gillis, who lost her father to cancer in 2011.

In addition to the festivities, the boutique will host two contests for patrons to participate in.  Customers are encouraged to stop by the store in their "best Angel to Apple outfit" with any items that they have purchased since 2006, starting Sunday, May 8, through Friday, May 13, and have their photo taken for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate on the day of the anniversary.  The pictures will be displayed for patrons to view and place their vote on Saturday, May 14.

There will also be an opportunity for customers to come dressed wearing the most Angel to Apple items at one time. Whether it be layers of clothing, jewelry and/or purses, it is the time to get creative!  The contest will take place that Saturday at 1 p.m. and the winner will also win a $150 gift certificate.

"This is not only a great day for Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique, but also a day to celebrate fashion from the last five years and give back to the American Cancer Society, who strives not only to improve the quality of life of cancer patients, but decrease incidence rates and provide amazing resources to patients and their families," Angel to Apple owner Jamie Symmonds says. "I am very much looking forward to seeing the unique style presented in the outfits our customers put together."

Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique is located at 451 Center Street in the historic Village of Lewiston. Symmonds named the business after living in Los Angeles, with dreams of returning back to her hometown of Lewiston, N.Y., and opening a women's clothing boutique where she could feature L.A.-based designers.
