Jamison R. Crawford, a Niagara University senior from Grand Island, was recently notified that a paper he presented at the 19th annual Illinois State University Conference for Students of Political Science on April 8 has been selected for a Best Paper Award by Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. As a result, Jamison's paper, one of only four undergraduate submissions chosen, will be published in the fall 2011 issue of Critique, a worldwide student journal of politics.

Crawford's 44-page submission, entitled "DIMENSION DEMENTIA: A Universal Approach to Measuring Religiosity," is available online at http://pol.illinoisstate.edu/current/conferences/2011/CRAWFORD.pdf.

Pi Sigma Alpha is the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the U.S. The society is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is designated as a "Specialized, Upper-Division" society by ACHS.

There are now more than 700 chapters of Pi Sigma Alpha located on college and university campuses in every state of the U.S. and one in Canada.

Critique, published by Illinois State University, provides a forum for graduate and undergraduate students of politics to express and exchange diverse ideas and to imagine new possibilities for democracy and justice. The electronic format of Critique provides an alternative venue that expands political debate by creating space for the emergence of new ideas.
