The Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company and VFW Lake Ontario Post 313 are hosting the second annual Original Buffalo Road Show on Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m.

The event will be held at Youngstown Fire Hall, located at 625 Third St., in the Village of Youngstown.

The event will offer comedic relief from comedian Accordion Billy. Also appearing at the event will be Buffalo radio legend Danny Neaverth and "Quizmaster" Dennis George. Accompanying George will be games such as "Name that Tune," "Family Feud" and "Trivia Pursuit." Prizes will be awarded to winners as well as audience members who correctly answer a question when called upon.

Adjutant of the VFW, Gary Zanardi, is excited to be one of the first to have the dynamic-trio in Niagara County. "They put on a high-energy show. They work the tables, and they work the crowd," said Zanardi of the event's entertainment. "It's a good time that goes by fast!"

A 50/50 split basket auction will be available during the event as well. Similar to last year, there will be a wide range of prizes available such as dinner for two at local restaurants and theater tickets for upcoming shows in the area. One lucky winner at last year's show went home with two airline tickets to Myrtle Beach.

Proceeds from the event will go to the YVFC for the anticipated purchase of an additional ambulance. Zanardi said there are several additional areas where proceeds will be dispersed by the VFW. "We always help the veterans and their families," said Zanardi, noting the VFW motto of support. Other beneficiaries include the Youngstown Lions Club, Community Missions, Air Force Junior ROTC Scholarship fund and an ambassador program.

Admission to the Buffalo Road Show is $20 per person and includes a roast beef dinner, salad, desserts and beverages from the ladies auxiliary. Beer is available for purchase. Don't worry about waiting in long buffet lines to be fed. Members from the fire company Explorers will serve each table.

For ticket information, contact Zanardi at 628-0440.
