The Historical Association of Lewiston is looking for your help in creating a new logo for the organization. HAL is looking for talented individuals to channel their creative energies and help develop an easily identifiable image to both Lewiston residents and visitors - a design that reflects the group's organizational mission to preserve and promote Lewiston's rich heritage.

The contest will be open to the general public, and to members of HAL. The submission should include the Historical Association of Lewiston name in the logo. Use of historical landmarks and events may be used in the design, but the entry must be an original design, and not a copy that may be subject to copyright laws.

The HAL board of directors will review submissions. The winning entry will be chosen based on a variety of factors including but not limited to creativity, originality, aesthetics, use of space/color, and fulfillment of the objective.

The winning artist will receive a cash prize of $250 and a lifetime membership to HAL (valued at $150). Winner will be responsible for any applicable governmental taxes.

Look for further details and official rules to be posted on the Historic Association of Lewiston website, www.HistoricLewiston.org.
