The largest gymnastics competition in Western New York this year, the Graffiti Invitational, will again take place at the Conference Center Niagara Falls.
Events take place Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 8 and 9. Competition times are 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
Competition Director Don Beecher says some 600 girls and 250 boys, ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old, and from four states, will take part in the gymnastics event, along with 3,000 or more spectators.
The public is welcome at all sessions of this year's Graffiti Invitational, which is a state qualifying invitational. Gymnasts may go directly to the 2011 State Championships. All are members of the United States Junior Olympic Program and will perform both compulsory and optional routines.
