Historical Association of Lewiston announces winners of Lewiston Home Tour

Lee Simonson, volunteer president of the Historic Association of Lewiston, recently announced the raffle winners and the champions of the decorating competition at the Lewiston Home Tour held Dec. 4-5 in Lewiston.

Kathleen Manning of Lockport is the winner of two tickets to the 2011 Tour of Kitchens. Mary Jane Thurston of Lockport won two tickets to the 2011 Tour of Homes and Mary Jo Neri of Youngstown won a half case of Niagara County wines.

Artie Vanderpool of Vanderpool Designs in Niagara Falls won the Best in Show Award for his holiday decor at the home of Tasia and Paul Fitzpatrick.

Ticket holders who attended the Tour of Homes cast their votes for the home they deemed to be their favorite - the one with the most spectacular holiday accents. Vanderpool, whose talent was recently featured on the nationally televised "Nate Berkus Show," collaborated with the Fitzpatricks for an award-winning design.

The Tour of Homes is HAL's signature fundraiser held each December. Proceeds are used to preserve and promote Lewiston's heritage.
