Darien Lake Resort, Western New York's social and entertainment hub, welcomes more than 50,000 visitors from the U.S. and Canada to take part in Kingdom Bound, one of the largest Christian music festivals in the country. The festival takes place from Aug. 1-4 and is a four-day long celebration of freedom, togetherness and the arts.

This year's festival will feature more than 40 concerts, including the newsboys, Matt Redman, Skillet, Mercy Me, local hip-hop artists, and closing out the festival this year is tobyMac.

Live drama presentations, extreme sports demos, the kids' ministry and late-night activities for those staying at the park's hotel and campgrounds set the stage for four full days. The celebration is an event for all ages and backgrounds to come together and share faith and love for the arts through unique experiences and talents.

Speakers including Bob Lenz and Reggie Dabbs will be offering their words and insight into topics such as relationships, college, finances and spirituality throughout each day of the festival. Jim and Jill Kelly, first recipients of the PARC Foundation's annual Jack Kemp Community Service Award, will be sharing their journey of heartbreak, redemption, and healing in the Worship Tent on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

"Our mission at Darien Lake Resort is to create treasured memories for guests," said Christopher Thorpe, Darien Lake Resort's general manager. "The Kingdom Bound Festival demonstrates our mission by offering a guiding message of faith to the local community through a variety of inspirational music, seminars and demonstrations."

New for 2010, Kingdom Bound is partnering with other major festivals in the Christian Festival Association to search the nation for rising young talent. Twenty-four finalists were chosen to compete at the festival in an international live competition and are looking for the support of the thousands in attendance at Darien Lake during the four-day festival to help find a winner. The live competition takes place on Sunday, Aug. 1 beginning at 3:30 p.m.

"We are honored to host the 24th annual Kingdom Bound Music Festival as it supports our shared commitment to serving God and building healthy communities by enriching the lives of children and families," said Randy Drew, PARC Management president and CEO.

Kingdom Bound admission tickets include all Kingdom Bound activities, worship services, concerts as well as Darien Lake Theme Park and new SplashTown at Darien Lake water park. To order Kingdom Bound tickets, call 716-633-1117, 1-800-461-4485 or order online at www.KingdomBound.com.
