The following activity
occurred Monday, July 12, to Sunday, July 18, as reported by the Lewiston
Police Department. A total of 97 calls were answered by LPD during this period.
Monday, July 12
- Possible fraud complaint
on the 200 block of Cayuga Street. Statement taken from a 52-year-old male who
reports receiving an E-ZPass bill but claims he has no E-ZPass account. Report
filed.
- Patrol reports following
up on a reckless driver-hit-and-run call at a gas/convenience business on the
1300 block of Upper Mountain Road. Negative results found on video footage.
- Warrant arrest of a
26-year-old male; location and nature of offense not reported. Suspect
arraigned at Porter Town Court; bail of $500/$3,000 assigned and suspect
transported to the Niagara County Jail. Report filed.
- Patrol checked for a
reckless driver of a white Buick seen heading northbound on Model City Road. Area
checked with negative results.
- Patrol checked for a
reckless driver heading eastbound on the 1300 block of Upper Mountain Road.
Plate number obtained; area and vehicle owner's residence checked with negative
results.
- Harassment complaint on
the 4500 block of Lower River Road. Statement taken from a 70-year-old male;
report filed.
- Report of an intoxicated
driver on the 700 block of The Circle. Plate number obtained and patrol
informed the driver was heading into the Village of Lewiston. Area checked with
negative results.
- Road obstruction call
involving several car batteries found broken in the roadway on the 4900 block
of Black Nose Spring Road. Pekin Volunteer Fire Co. on location.
Tuesday, July 13
- Suspicious person on the
4400 block of Creek Road. Patrol advised of a black female standing in the
roadway with a bottle of alcohol. Subject gone on arrival.
- Animal problem on the 5000
block of Dana Drive. A 41-year-old male reported a dog barking for two hours.
Dog control officer contacted.
- Bad check complaint at a
business on the 400 block of Center Street. Statement taken from a male
regarding a 37-year-old male. Report filed.
- Welfare check for a
24-year-old female on the 900 block of Mohawk Street. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer
Fire Co. EMS on location for transport to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health
Center. Patrol reports going to MSM later on an unruly patient call and
assisting hospital staff in restraining the subject.
- Shooter complaint at Bond
Lake Park. Area checked with negative results.
- Criminal mischief
complaint on the 2000 block of Upper Mountain Road. Statement taken from a
21-year-old male regarding three windows broken on his trailer. Report filed.
- Aggravated harassment
complaint on the 4900 block of Indian Hill Road. Statement taken from a
46-year-old female who reports receiving numerous text messages from a number
concerning a suicide. Niagara County Sheriff's Department dispatch requested to
call the number and reported it came back to a business with no address.
- Report of suspicious
persons ringing a doorbell at an address on the 200 block of South First
Street. Area checked with negative results.
- Check welfare call of a
male walking in the roadway on the Robert Moses Parkway. State Police on
location.
- Harassment complaint at a
bar/restaurant on the 400 block of Center Street. Complainant left prior to
patrol's arrival.
- Open container violation
at a village location near Artpark. Appearance ticket for Lewiston Town Court
issued to a 38-year-old male. Report filed.
Wednesday, July 14
- Check-welfare call on the
1700 block of Swann Road. Patrol reports a female was unable to locate her
boyfriend. All okay; subject located.
- Patrol reported the arrest
of a 16-year-old male juvenile on the 100 block of South Seventh Street on a charge
of unauthorized prescription medicine. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston
Town Court and subject released to a parent. Report filed.
- Road rage complaint on the
RMP at Pletcher Road. Resolved by patrol.
- Property dispute on the
400 block of Seneca Street. Statement taken from a 57-year-old female regarding
a 51-year-old male. Report filed.
- Larceny of a large wooden
sign on the 500 block of Cayuga Street. Statement taken from a 54-year-old
female. Report filed.
- Suspicious vehicle on the
5700 block of West Street. Patrol advised of an unknown vehicle's occupants
setting off fireworks and fleeing the area. Patrol checked with negative
results.
Thursday, July 15
- Loud music complaint
involving a band making too much noise on the patio at a bar/restaurant on the
400 block of Center Street. Resolved by patrol.
- Juvenile problem on Creek
Road at Washington Drive. Patrol reports a small group of juveniles were sent
home to an address on the 4700 block of Creek Road and advised on the curfew.
- Alarm response at Edward
Town Middle School on the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road. Building
secure; no key holder.
- Walk-in harassment
complaint at the LPD office. Statement taken from a 50-year-old female that
resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old male on said charge. Suspect arraigned
at Lewiston Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Report filed.
- Separate two-car
property-damage-only accidents, one on Chew Road - statement taken from driver
No. 1, the other vehicle was parked; and at an undisclosed location -
statements taken. Reports filed.
- Brother-brother domestic
on the 900 block of Ridge Road. Patrol spoke with a 48-year-old male and a
52-year-old male. Issues resolved by patrol; the 48-year-old male was asked not
to return by the homeowner. Report filed.
- Husband-wife domestic on
the 400 block of Kenwood Drive. Patrol spoke with a 49-year-old male listed as
the complainant and a 47-year-old female. Report filed.
- Unwanted party on the 200
block of Mohawk Street. Patrol spoke with a 59-year-old male; the other subject
left prior to their arrival. All OK.
Friday, July 16
- Patrol assisted NCSD with
a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic on the 2500 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road.
Patrol spoke with a 23-year-old female. All OK. Patrol cleared.
- Burglary complaint on the
200 block of Center Street. Statement taken from a 50-year-old who reported a
teapot was taken by an unknown suspect. Report filed.
- Patrol assisted State
Police with a property-damage-only accident at Ninth and Center streets. State
police to write the report.
- Officer requested on the
1000 block of Escarpment Drive. Patrol reported a window broken inside the
home; no entry gained or items missing. All OK.
- Unwanted party on the 2000
block of Mount Hope Road. Patrol reported a 52-year-old male left without
incident.
- Juvenile problem on Swann
and Dickersonville roads, involving youths throwing corn at passing vehicles.

Saturday, July 17
- Loud party complaint on
the 5000 block of Dana Drive. Patrol advised the homeowner to stop the
construction for the night.
- Patrol assisted NCSD on a
boyfriend-girlfriend domestic that turned physical. Patrol cleared.
- Aggravated harassment
complaint on the 900 block of Pletcher Road. Complaint taken from a 49-year-old
female, who filed it in Ogdensburg, regarding a female suspect. Patrol reported
charges are pending and advised the suspect to stop calling. Report filed.
- Property damage only
accident on Walmore Road. Patrol reported the arrest of a 29-year-old male for
Driving While Intoxicated and a drug-related public law charge; no further
details. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and vehicle towed.

- Animal problem of a dog
inside a parked vehicle in a supermarket parking lot on the 900 block of Center
Street. Patrol reported the vehicle's owner on the scene and the dog OK; the
windows were cracked.
- Report of suspicious
person with a dog sleeping in a park on Tuscarora Street. Area checked with
negative results.
- Reckless driver complaint
on Ridge Road eastbound from Model City Road. Patrol advised of a white box van
with Pennsylvania plates; plate number logged. Area checked with negative
results.
- Trespasser complaint on
the 2900 block of Upper Mountain Road. Statement taken from a 23-year-old male
regarding a 60-year-old male. Complainant reported his landlord entered his
residence while he wasn't home. Landlord informed patrol he was firing up a hot
water tank.
- Unwanted party on the 2300
block of Saunders Settlement Road. Statement taken from a 26-year-old female
regarding a 30-year-old male. Party left without incident.
- Reckless driver complaint
on the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road. Patrol assisted State Police
with stopping the vehicle. No further details.
- Check-welfare call on the
5700 block of Buffalo Street. Patrol spoke with a 63-year-old male regarding a
30-year-old male. All OK.
Sunday, July 18
- Domestic incident in a
bar/restaurant on the 700 block of Cayuga Street. Patrol spoke with a
32-year-old female, a 34-year-old male and a 24-year-old male. Report filed.
- Unwanted party on the 1700
block of Upper Mountain Road. Patrol spoke with a male regarding a 24-year-old
female. Party left without incident.
- Burglary complaint on the
700 block of Cayuga Street. Patrol reported a 25-year-old female as an involved
party. Investigation to continue. Patrol followed up on the call later that
day.
- Patrol assisted NCSD with
a vehicle rollover/DWI on the 5600 block of Townline Road. An unidentified
driver was arrested by NCSD. No further details.
- Counterfeit currency
complaint at a gas/convenience business on the 2300 block of Saunders
Settlement Road. Statement taken from a male regarding a 53-year-old male
suspect. A $100 bill was taken. No charges.
- Patrol requested to check
the 5100 block of Dana Drive for possible shots fired. All secure; negative
results on the check.
- Verbal domestic on the
1500 block of Swann Road. Patrol spoke with a 37-year-old female and a
36-year-old male. Report filed.
- Possible criminal trespass
on the 1100 block of Elliott Drive. Statement taken from an 85-year-old male
regarding an unknown suspect. Report filed.
- Patrol requested to check
the Water Street area for intoxicated people drinking in the park. All OK.
- Burglary complaint on the
800 block of Foxwood Drive. Statement taken from a 58-year-old female and a
33-year-old male regarding a 31-year-old female suspect. Report filed.
Investigation to continue.
- Custody dispute on the
1500 block of Saunders Settlement Road. Patrol spoke with a male and female,
both 31 years old. Parties advised to contact Family Court to resolve the
issue.
- Patrol reports assisting
Town of Niagara Police on a domestic call on the 8200 block of Third Avenue. No
further details.
