'Knight and Day' is slow and predictable

STORYBOARD

June Havens (Diaz) finds her everyday life tangled with that of secret agent Roy Miller (Cruise), who has realized he isn't supposed to survive his latest mission. American agencies, drug lords and old friends of Roy are hunting them down in search of the "Megabattery."

They fly, drive ... and sometimes you don't even know how they travel all over the globe searching for the creator of this hot, new device. As they try to stay alive, they soon learn that all they can count on is each other.

THE DISPOSITION

When I learned that James Mangold was directing a fun, action-romantic comedy staring Cruise and Diaz, I was hopeful for some competition for "Mr. and Ms Smith." His movies are usually well thought out and give you the interaction with the characters that you're looking for.

But not this film.

This movie stands on one thing and one thing alone: Tom Cruise's ability to talk very fast and act insane and still have America love him. For example, leaping on Oprah's couch like a lunatic. I have to admit, Cruise is pretty funny at times, but that's not enough to save this ridiculously boring movie. There was more suspense in "Finding Nemo" (I love that movie).

And the biggest spoiler of the film is that. ... Wait for it. ... Close your eyes if you don't want to know. ... Here it is. ... His name is actually Matthew Knight!! Get it??!!

Oh, and the bad guy dies.

Feel free to get up and refill your popcorn, men, as much as possible. You figured out the movie in the first 15 minutes. I promise you won't miss a thing.
