On an inclement Sunday, June 13, 45 bikes participated in the Wounded Troop Ride in support for Jammies for GIs.

Jammies for GIs, founded by Cheryl Lepsch, gathers badly needed clothing and personal items for our injured soldiers when they are medivaced from field hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan to military hospitals in Germany and across the world.

The Troop Ride, starting and ending at American Legion Post 1451 in Wheatfield, was organized by Sam Reeder of the Niagara Region American Legion Riders.

The high score winner of the Dice Run was Tom Dodson with a score of 117. Joan Kam, with a score of 65, had the low score. Both received a plaque. After the ride, Rip and the Band Dogs provided live entertainment with Buffalo Jills, Gabrielle, Murissa and Vincenza assisting with 50/50 and raffle tickets.
