The Ransomville Lions will host the annual Lions Night at the Races, Friday, Aug. 20, at Ransomville Speedway, to benefit the Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Program.

Lion Tina Clark reports for 2010, Ransomville Lions are offering a VIP package for $25 which includes:  tower seating in the VIP tower area room, admission to the pit area, catering of snacks such as nachos & cheese, popcorn, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and ice cold can beer throughout the evening. "This provides you the opportunity to be out of the elements and in the comfort of a dust-free air-conditioned room to watch the races. VIP package tickets are limited and go fast!" she adds.

Also available is the Grandstand Admission Package. Tickets cost  $15 each and include Grandstand Admission, a picnic dinner under the pavilion, ice-cold soda, beer, and lots of fun for the evening.

All proceeds from Lions Night at the Races are donated to Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service. Operating 24 hours daily, year-round, Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service volunteers broadcast readings of newspapers, magazines, books, vital local information and other printed matter to blind and print-handicapped persons throughout Western New York with specially equipped radios.

Clark reports the NFRRS is seeking volunteers to do readings, clerical work, assist at special NFRRS events and to help cover costs of the program. Last year, the annual Lions Night at the Races raised approximately $350 for the Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service. "This year, our goal is to raise $500 for the NFRRS. Will you help us make this year a success?"

Tickets this event will not be sold at the gate. Those interested in purchasing tickets may contact Lion Betty Clark at 791-4628 or e-mail Lion Tina Clark at [email protected].
