The schedule for the 24th annual "Thursday at the Square" concert series was unveiled at a press conference Thursday at the Labatt corporate headquarters in Buffalo. More than two-dozen national acts will perform at the weekly event and its weekend offshoot, Buffalo Place "Rocks the Harbor."
Slated to perform this summer:
June 10 - Alejandro Escovedo and The Sensitive Boys with special guest Tift Merritt
June 17 - Ingrid Michaelson
June 24 - Martin Sexton featuring Ryan Montbleau Band and Civil Twilight
July 1 - Ed Kowalczyk of Live
July 8 - Ozomatli with special guest Rebelution
July 15 - Umphrey's McGee with special guest Tea Leaf Green
July 22 - G. Love & Special Sauce with special guest Rogue Wave
July 29 - Robert Randolph & The Family Band
Aug. 5 - Los Lobos
Aug. 12 - The Fabulous Thunderbirds with special guest Hit & Run
Buffalo Place's free concert series runs from 5 until 9 p.m. at Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo.

Friday, June 25 - moe. with special guest Keller Williams
Saturday, June 26 - moe. with special guest Donna The Buffalo
Friday, July 16 - Crowded House with special guest Lawrence Arabia
Saturday, July 17 - Gaelic Storm with special guest Leahy
Saturday, July 31 - O.A.R. with special guest Citizen Cope
Sunday, Aug. 1 - Slightly Stoopid and Cypress Hill with special guest Collie Buddz
Friday, Aug. 6 - Herbie Hancock and Jonny Lang
Saturday, Aug. 7 - Gov't Mule with special guest Jackie Greene
This outdoor concert series runs from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Erie Canal Harbor Central Wharf.
"Rocks the Harbor" is a ticketed event. Admission is $10 in advance and $20 one week before each show date (via Ticketmaster).
Buffalo Place's media guide states $6.38 is returned to the local economy for every $1 spent on music events. The season-long economic impact of "Thursday at the Square" is an estimated $4,514,520.
Anthony J. Colucci III, Buffalo Place president and vice chairman, said some of the busiest nights in Buffalo all year happen with "Thursday at the Square."
