The club was chartered in October 2009 and soon received the Lions International Leadership Award for increased membership. It has also earned the Lions International Award for family membership and a membership growth award in 2010.

Ron Craft received the Robert J.  Uplinger Award for Distinguished Service -- the highest award given to a Lion in New York -- for his work in helping to charter the club. He's also received International awards for increasing membership, and serves as the club webmaster, membership chairman and fundraising chairman.

Marlene Craft is chairperson for the Lions Club's International Peace Poster contest for elementary school children. She serves as club historian, chairs the "Sunshine Committee," and has worked at numerous fundraising events.
