Enter to win NFP's pumpkin-carving contest

 October is the time of year when children and families artfully decorate pumpkins, and display these works for friends and neighbors. Now, your most decorative, scariest, funniest or craziest pumpkin designs can win you one of three great prizes in the Niagara Frontier Publications pumpkin-carving contest.

One (1) grand-prize winner will receive a Favorite's Pizza "Party Pack," which includes a full tray of pizza with one item, 50 chicken wings, a large salad, garlic bread and two liters of Pepsi. This is a $55 value. Favorite's Pizza is located at 781 Cayuga St., Lewiston.

One (1) second-prize winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Grandpaws Pet Emporium, 784 Center St., Lewiston.

One (1) third-prize winner will receive a $10 certificate to Syro's Family Restaurant, located at 869 Cayuga St., Lewiston.

TO ENTER: Send us a photo of your best carved or decorated pumpkin. Submit the photo to this email address or follow us on Twitter (@wnypapers or @joshuamaloni) and tweet a photo to Niagara Frontier Publications ("NFP").

Please include contact information (including phone number) with each entry. NFP will not sell or publicize phone numbers, nor use them in any other form of solicitation. Contact information is solely used to contact prizewinners.

All photos will be publicly displayed at www.wnypapers.com.

Photos of the three winners' respective entries also will be publicly displayed in the NFP newspapers: The Niagara-Wheatfield Tribune, the Island Dispatch and the Lewiston-Porter Sentinel.

Winners will be selected based on reader feedback and the scores of NFP's judging panel.

All decisions are final.

GRAND PRIZE:

CONTEST DATES: (UPDATED) Contest runs from 2 p.m. (EST) Monday, October 1, 2012, through 11:59 p.m. (EST) Wednesday, November 7, 2012, and is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada. Employees (full-time, part-time and freelance) of NFP, Favorite's Pizza, Grandpaws Pet Emporium, Syros Family Restaurant and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter this contest.

Winners will be notified on or about Thursday, November 8, 2012.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES: Multiple entries are permitted in this contest.

UNCLAIMED PRIZE: In the event any prize is not claimed or is forfeited, a second entrant will be selected for said prize.
