The Buffalo AKG Art Museum announced it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $50,000. This grant will support "Stanley Whitney: How High the Moon," what the AKG called "the first retrospective exhibition to trace the evolution of artist Stanley Whitney's wholly unique and powerful abstractions over the course of his 50-year career."

Attempted murder nets guilty plea in Niagara County

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Kalique Miller, age 19, of Niagara Falls, entered a guilty plea today in County Court to the charges of attempted murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Miller admitted to shooting a 22-year-old woman multiple times in the Falls on Nov. 10, 2022.
